Would you like to work with her?
Here is your opportunity to find out more in this interview.

How did you end up living in different countries?

When I was 16 my parents arranged a Rotary exchange to Germany for a year. I was meant to get fully integrated into German society and did not see my family and friends during that period, it was pretty tough at that age. In my early 20's the American company I worked for shut up shop and moved to Amsterdam, I had never been and thought hey what a great opportunity, I would go for 6 months. I never looked back and stayed for 16 years. I have some great Dutch friends. I lived for 6 months in San Francisco whilst working for Cisco Systems Inc, it was a complete cultural shock.

Living in these different cultures has helped me to understand different cultures and value and respect people's differences.

How do you keep fit?

I jog most days and enjoy yoga when I get the opportunity.

Where is your favorite place for tea?

I recently turned organic, Daylesford Organic in Notting Hill takes some beating and they have amazing bakewell slices. If I want to be naughty then cup cakes from Humming Bird bakery with an Earl Grey tea is my decadence.

What are your hobbies?

I live on a farm in East Sussex and started horse riding last year, I really love it. I ride a wonderful horse called Dream Boy who is 17.2 hands, that's pretty big and was quite a challenge. I also enjoy growing plants.

Where do you go to relax?

I love France, particularly the South. Nothing better than a nice long French lunch with friends at Club 55 in St Tropez.

How do you give back?

I recently took a year off and took a teach English as a foreign language course (TEFL). I ended up teaching at an orphanage in Cambodia, which was the most amazing experience ever. It helped me to focus on what is important in life and making sure that we have balance in our lives. In 1995 about 50% of the population in Cambodia was younger than 15 years of age due to the Khmer Rouge era when intelligent and older people were eliminated. This is a country rebuilding itself, that needs our help and experience and I remain heavily involved.

What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?

After a cup of tea in the morning, what motivates me are challenges, making a difference and taking businesses and people to a different stage of their journey. I like to ensure I am in an environment where I am learning everyday. It is a great legacy to leave behind when the changes you implement remain in place long after you have left.

What is your personal philosophy?

Everything is possible. I strongly believe serendipity plays a big part in our lives, but we make our own luck, we have to grab the opportunities and always make it fun.
